Parker has been working with children, youth, and families for over ten years. Before starting his Master’s degree in Child and Youth Care at the University of Victoria Parker worked in residential and educational settings with youth.
Parker has extensive experience supporting youth with complex trauma, depression, and anxiety. He has specific training in the areas of sexual abuse, as well as sexual behaviour problems. He is skilled at supporting clients with substance use issues, self-harming behaviors, and suicidality. Parker is particularly passionate about providing psychoeducation and support to individuals of all ages coping with ADHD.
Parker’s approach includes trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and expressive therapies. He is a trained yoga teacher and offers yoga approaches to mindfulness and mental health for those who would like to make this a part of their treatment plan. Parker offers supportive and affirming treatment for Trans* and gender non-conforming/non-binary youth. Parker works with children 8+, youth, and adults.
